Major Grant ($12,001 to $150,000) applicants should download the forms from the section labeled “Major Grants”.

- To determine if your program or project meets our grant criteria, first read the 2011 Introduction which explains our Grant Policy, Eligibility Criteria, Grant Priorities and 2010-2011 Poverty Income Guidelines.
- To decide if you can meet our other requirements, read the 2011 Grant Assurances. This must be submitted with your application. The Executive Director and the Program Director will have to sign this agreement. If the Executive Director is the Program Director, then a Board officer must sign the Grant Assurances.
- The IOLTA Fund requires a current audited financial statement from Major Grant Applicants and has somewhat lesser requirements for Basic Grant Applicants. Major Grant applicants must supply an Auditor’s Certification, signed by the auditor, stating that the audit will meet Generally Accepted Accounting Standards and IOLTA’s requirements. The document called “2011 Audit Requirements” explains both.
- A Coversheet is required. It provides us with the applicant’s contact information, grant request, grant category, and other details.
- Other documents (By-laws, for example) are required from all applicants. These are listed on the first page of the application. Repeat applicants must supply them every third year.
- The application consists of questions answered in narrative format, expense budgets for the project and the entire organization, explanatory schedules for the proposed grant expenses, and case statistics and/or service statistics presented on our forms. There are different questions for Major and Basic Grant applicants but the budget, budget schedules and statistical reports are the same for both.
