To calculate the average daily balance for your attorney trust account:

Look for the Daily Balance Summary on your bank statement and use it to find the balance in your account for each day of the month you are examining. If the Daily Balance Summary skips any dates, repeat the previous date's balance until you come to a date with a balance on the statement. For a month with 30 days, you should have 30 daily balances. For a month with 31 days, you should have 31 daily balances.

Add all the daily balances to come to one total amount for the month you are examining.

Divide the total amount from the previous step by the number of days in that month.

You now have the average daily balance for your attorney trust account!
